Art Tatum is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest jazz pianists of all time, and was a major influence on later generations of keyboardists. He played with phenomenal facility despite being nearly blind from birth.
The Art Tatum Solo Materpieces, Vol. 1 was recorded for Pablo Records founder Norman Granz in 1953 and has now been newly reissued and enhanced with seven additional selections that were not included in the original LP release.

Duke Ellington & His Orchestra - The Ellington Suites
The Ellington Suites is a studio album by American pianist, composer and bandleader Duke Ellington which collects three suites recorded in 1959, 1971 & 1972 (originally released on the Pablo label in 1976). The album won a Grammy Award for Best Jazz Performance by a Big Band. Interesting fact: Ellington wrote “The Queens Suite” for Queen Elizabeth II, who was presented with a single pressing of the recording which was not commercially issued during Ellington’s lifetime.
